2023 Kansas Pistol Wide Zone

A deeper look at Kansas' traditional Wide Zone variations.

Previously, we looked at how Kansas used counter to create explosive plays. Though counter was successful for them, it wasn’t their bread and butter. Kansas hung its hat on Wide Zone.

They used countless variations including:

  • Shotgun

  • Shotgun split backs

  • Empty with Motion

  • “Wildcat”

Today we are going to focus on their traditional Pistol schemes. (We will cover all the other variations soon.)
